Grade2XL consortium fully covered the value chain for WAAM multimaterial production: WAAM wire material producers (vaBWG, LEE), equipment and software developers (RAMLAB, Valk Welding, Air Products), WAAM production (RAMLAB, Naval Group) – and end-users from seven sectors: maritime, energy, aerospace, homeware, automotive, white goods and heavy lifting (MAN ES, EDF, Villeroy&Boch, GKN, Arrk, Gorenje, Kuźnia Jawor – respectively). The active participation of the classification society BV as WP leader on Qualification has facilitated the acceptance and industrial uptake of the technology.
