This time the topic is Principles of Absolute Environmental Sustainability Assessment. In this webinar we present how we can assess whether our products and systems stay inside "planetary boundaries" and thus are “absolute sustainable”. We observe that the environmental pressures caused by human activity increasingly challenge our planet. A number of researchers have therefore aimed to identify the capacity of the earth to embrace those pressures. They identified nine, so-called planetary boundaries that represent the carrying capacity of the planet and that should not be surpassed in a sustainable world.
Two partners from the Grade2XL project will speak:
Michael Zwicky Hauschild, Professor, Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering, DTU Technical University of Denmark
Stig Irving Olsen, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering, DTU Technical University of Denmark
